Final Arrangements

As an active cemetery that handles nearly 400 interments a year, Newton Cemetery helps families of all faiths make final arrangements every day. Our knowledgeable staff is available to assist with your pre-arrangements or immediate need.

IMMEDIATE NEED

To make immediate funeral arrangements, contact the Newton Cemetery office at 617-332-0047. Our staff will guide you through the process, whether you need to purchase a cemetery space, plan a cremation, or need answers about monuments. We will work with your funeral home to coordinate the details of the service. If you do not have a funeral home, please refer to the list of are funeral homes in the resource section.

ADVANCE PLANNING

More people are electing to make final arrangements on a pre-need basis. It gives time to consider the many options and plan the details of your service. You will have peace of mind knowing your wishes will be observed, giving your family and friends the time to focus on supporting each other through the grieving process.

All spaces in Newton Cemetery are available for pre-purchase. Our staff is available to meet you, give a tour of the facilities and explain everything about purchasing a cemetery space, taking the mystery out of planning your service.
